The beer is very cheap at 5.6€/L. The food is also fine. I recommend to be upstairs since the tables downstairs were full and the ambient didn't seem appropriate because of Covid-19. At 10 pm the bathrooms were disgusting. With a bit of control the atmosphere could be kept at bay.

Two of us didn't enjoy our meal which was recommended by the waiter, then he insisted on a tip. It didn't happen because we felt strongly that we would not tip at home under the same circumstances. He tried to argue against giving our change back which disenfranchised us.

Going here first thing after arriving in Munich was an excellent idea. I thought I hated beer before, but after drinking beer here, I just realized I had been drinking the wrong beer.

If you're the kind of traditional experience seeker, come and stay at the "Beer Halle". It's noisy, packed with simply amazing atmosphere in traditional setting/seating. They also have an area for a more "relaxed" dinner with regular tables. In general, amazing prices for great food (most likely cheapest barrelled beer and steaks in inner Munich) and super fast service! Make sure to make a reservation for dinner times, as it might be impossible to get a table at peak hours!

Staff was quite friendly but the menu beeing only in german it was hard to choose and i ended up with something i didn't like...very little choice anyways... I forgot. Service was sloooooooow even though the restaurant was empty...

The embodiment of what Germany feels like to us: crowded, noisy, great beer and meat, superfriendly and efficient waiters, fast (we got our hot meals 5 minutes after ordering) and cozy. PS Don't come here if you wish to adhere to the new corona distance rules... Let's just say that this place isn't that good in 'crowd control/seperation'

It's a bit a mess !! But, you need to come there.. best ever to have the real mood of Munich in one place !

Great place to start my trip. I was sad that the kitchen closed just after I arrived. So that just meant beer and pretzels for dinner for me! Both were excellent! Friendly place, just grab a seat and enjoy your time! I will defiantly be back!

Pretty overrated. Food is good but nothing special. Staff often forgot orders and wasn't very friendly. The Beer however is excellent as expected. It's very loud inside but that's normal for a restaurant of this size.

Food was ok! One of the waitress blow her nose, then she touched the pretzels and putted them in my table, we didn't eat any but she wanted to charge us for it. The men serving where nicer than the waitress. I will go to the other location crossing the bridge than this one.
